Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, administrative restrictions on audience access and concerns regarding its participation in the concert, due to the fact that keeping the recommended distance in a large orchestra and choir is impossible, as well as out of concern for the safety of all the participants, we are forced to postpone the jubilee symphonic concert “25th Last Night of the Proms in Cracow” to next year.

At the same time, we feel obliged to pay tribute to Krzysztof Penderecki. While we cannot organise a concert of large musical forms, it is possible to perform a piece for string orchestra and soloists. We have decided to hold an on-line concert “Hommage à Krzysztof Penderecki” without the audience.

The concert will be recorded at the Church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria in Kraków and its online premiere will take place on 1 October 2020, that is on the International Music Day on our YouTube channel.
